Allied Vehicles Ltd
Allied Vehicles Ltd was established in 1993, mainly providing various services for the taxi industry. It expanded into the manufacture and conversion of taxis and minibuses and is now one of the UK's leading suppliers of wheelchair accessible vehicles.
The company was offered RSA of £600,000 in respect of a £4m project aimed at expanding its production capacity in order to increase its capability to manufacture wheelchair accessible minibuses, taxis and other vehicles. It is anticipated that the project will lead to the creation of 60 jobs at its Glasgow premises along with the safeguarding of a further 30 jobs, taking total employment to more than 360.
